Being a woman is a special thing. It is a multifaceted experience in this world. We come in all shapes and sizes, all colours and flavours. From high powered, ambitious, go-getters; to nurturing moms taking time to raise their children; empowered rugby players to sensuous, frilly madams. And every colour of the spectrum in between.
Women can be found in the most feminine stockings and throw on a onesie when they get home; they can rock tenue de ville then throw on a pair of jeans and sneaks to go out for a drink. We can be soft and caring, yet fierce and powerful; feminine and charming, yet driven and completely rational. Some of us feel very connected to our femininity, some of us don’t have the need.
Ladyliciousness went out to interview women and men of all ages, backgrounds, races, to get an idea of what people actually think being a woman means, and how they perceive femininity. As we crossed the city several times over, we were energized by the diversity and thoughtfulness of the answers given. Inspired to have it confirmed, yet again, that there is no right or wrong answer.
It’s time to break free from all of the expectations, stories, demands, and rules placed on us, and learn how to re-connect into ourselves to figure out what being a woman is all about. From the inside out. It all starts with you.
Ladyliciousness provides a community for women to explore their own brand of womanhood, from start to finish. I provide workshops, coaching programs, open sessions, dancing classes; share relevant articles, women topics, and inspiring, varied points of view. Integrating ancient feminine wisdom into modern day lives, so that you can have it all.
